The Role As a Year 2 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils through a crucial stage in their learning, helping them build strong foundations in preparation for Key Stage 2. Location: Leyland, Lancashire Start Date: September 2026 Position: Year 2 Teacher Contract: Long-term, full-time Pay: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly (with potential for pay to scale) Key Responsibilities Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum. Supporting pupils' academic and personal development, ensuring they reach their full potential. Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments. Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Assessing progress and implementing targeted interventions where needed. Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents. Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable). Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks. Have excellent classroom management and communication skills. Be committed, reliable, and passionate about teaching. Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
