We are recruiting a Qualified English Teacher for a high-performing secondary school in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a rare, extended contract starting immediately. The role is confirmed until July 2026, with a pre-approved extension through to December 2026, providing you with over 18 months of guaranteed placement. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning: Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4. Curriculum Delivery: Plan and assess work in line with GCSE specifications to ensure maximum student progress. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment using the school's established behaviour policies.
