Job Title: SENCO (Primary) Location: Southwark, London Pay Range: Paid to scale +TLR/SEN allowance depending on experience Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (ASAP start – with potential to extend/permanent) ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark seeking an experienced SENCO to join their team as soon as possible. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead SEND provision across the school, ensuring high-quality support for pupils with additional needs. The school is known for its strong commitment to inclusion and supportive leadership team, creating an environment where the SENCO can make a significant and lasting impact on pupil outcomes. This SENCO role in Southwark would suit experienced Primary SENCOs who are confident leading SEND provision and able to hit the ground running in a busy school environment. Key Responsibilities of SENCO: Lead and manage SEND provision across the school. Oversee and implement EHCPs and individual support plans. Work closely with class teachers to ensure effective differentiation and inclusive practice. Liaise with parents, external agencies and professionals. Monitor pupil progress and ensure appropriate interventions are in place. Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND and safeguarding regulations. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be working towards it. Have proven experience working as a SENCO within a primary school (essential). Be able to hit the ground running and manage a busy SEND caseload effectively. Demonstrate strong knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive practice. Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing. Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
