Finance Officer – Secondary School Based (Hillingdon) Location: Hillingdon, London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Officer to join a supportive secondary school in the Hillingdon area. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, trip administration, and supporting wider school finance processes. The Role: • Process and manage school invoices accurately and efficiently • Oversee financial administration for school trips, including payments, tracking, and reconciliations • Maintain accurate financial records and update school finance systems and spreadsheets • Support budget monitoring and assist with expenditure tracking across departments • Liaise with suppliers, staff, parents, and external organisations regarding financial matters • Assist with general finance office duties to ensure smooth school operations • Ensure compliance with school financial procedures and safeguarding policies What We’re Looking For: • Previous experience in a school finance officer role or similar finance/admin position • Strong experience in invoicing, financial administration, and record keeping • Experience supporting or managing school trips and associated payments • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Confident using finance systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service What’s on Offer: • Supportive secondary school environment in Hillingdon • Opportunities for training and professional development • Stable, term-time working pattern • A rewarding role contributing to the effective running of the school
