Role: Electrician Location: RAF Croughton & RAF Barford St Johns Salary: Up to £42,000 (depending on experience and qualifications) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday + 1 in 4 on-call rota Contract: Full-time, Permanent The OpportunityWe’re looking for a skilled Electrician to join a high-performing team supporting critical infrastructure across two secure RAF sites. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for keeping essential electrical systems running safely and efficiently across commercial and residential facilities. You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational performance, working both independently and as part of a wider team, with opportunities to develop your skills in a structured and professional environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of electrical systems Respond to reactive repairs and fault finding Complete electrical compliance testing in line with JSP375 standards Undertake minor installation works within commercial and residential buildings Use digital tools/tablets to log work, ensuring accurate and timely reporting Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota Travel between RAF Croughton and Barford St Johns as required Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance at all times Liaise effectively with site personnel and internal teams About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have: City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance and repairs Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations Excellent communication skills and a professional approach A full UK driving licence Desirable (but not essential) Experience as an Authorised Person (AP) or Authorising Engineer (AE) Knowledge of JSP375 and MOD environments PASMA and/or IPAF certification Experience with fixed wire inspections What’s on Offer Salary up to £42,000 DOE 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Up to 6% contributory pension scheme Life assurance Employee discount and reward schemes One paid professional subscription Volunteer leave Long-term, stable role with opportunities for progression Apply NowIf you’re an experienced Electrician looking for a role where your work has real impact and you can develop within a growing, forward-thinking environment, we’d like to hear from you
