Title: Internal Industrial Sales Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 PA
Location: Oxford (inc. 10mile surrounding counties)

This client is a key supplier of quality engineering components. Based in Oxford, as an independent, we offer a variety of products and services to meet the demands of the manufacturing industry.
About the Role:
As an internal industrial sales engineer, you will play a key role in driving revenue by supporting external sales activity, managing inbound enquiries, developing existing customer relationships, and proactively identifying new sales opportunities. The role is focused on delivering excellent customer service while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
* Handle inbound sales enquiries via phone and email
* Prepare and follow up quotations in a timely and professional manner
* Proactively contact existing customers to identify repeat and upsell opportunities
* Support external sales colleagues with lead qualification and account administration
* Develop strong product and service knowledge
* Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
Customer Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
* Act as a key point of contact for customer queries, orders, and pricing requests
* Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive and accurate communication
Order Processing & Administration
* Process sales orders accurately using CRM and our software system
* Maintain up‑to‑date customer records and sales notes
* Coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth order fulfilment
* Assist with resolving delivery or invoicing issues when required
Team & Process Support
* Work closely with the wider sales and operations teams
* Contribute to process improvements and sales initiatives
* Support promotional campaigns and new product launches
Skills & Experience:
Essential
* Previous experience in an internal sales, or customer‑facing commercial role
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Confident telephone manner
* Product Knowledge of some of our industrial product range
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
Desirable
* Experience using CRM systems
* Knowledge of B2B sales environments
* Experience working alongside external sales teams
