Quality Assistant - Food

Permanent Quality Assistant required for locally homegrown business based in Belfast.

Role Purpose: The Quality Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to the Technical department within a busy food production environment.

The role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting food safety and quality systems, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with company and customer standards.

Duties will include: Provide general administrative support to the Technical department.

Assist in maintaining food safety and quality management systems.

Complete and update technical documentation, records, and specifications.

Support internal audits, customer audits, and site inspections.

Assist with traceability exercises and product checks.

Monitor and file production and quality records accurately.

Support investigations relating to non-conformances and customer complaints.

Help ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.

Liaise with production teams regarding quality-related matters.

Any other duties required.

Essential Criteria Previous administrative experience, ideally within a food manufacturing or production environment ideally within a Technical or Quality department.

Experience working within a Technical or Quality department.

Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Competent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. xwzovoh
