About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Rochdale in September. This is a full-time position, paid to scale, ideal for a confident practitioner with strong knowledge of Upper Key Stage 2 and SATs preparation. The Role: * Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 6 class * Prepare pupils effectively for SATs assessments * Track and monitor pupil progress, ensuring high standards of attainment * Provide targeted interventions to support all learners * Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment * Work closely with the KS2 team and senior leaders The Ideal Candidate Will: * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Have recent experience teaching in Upper KS2 (Year 6 preferred) * Demonstrate strong SATs knowledge and assessment experience * Have excellent behaviour management skills * Be committed to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for pupils What the School Offers: * Salary paid to scale (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience) * Supportive leadership and collaborative staff team * Full-time, consistent working hours (8am – 4pm) * A positive and well-resourced learning environment This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE (2024) guidance and safer recruitment standards.
