Press Brake Machinist

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: On-site in Chandlers Ford About the Role We are a well-established, small sheet metal fabrication company seeking an experienced Press Brake / Laser Operator to join our skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on operator who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a practical, close-knit environment. You will play a key role in manufacturing high-quality sheet metal components, working primarily with CNC press brake and laser cutting machinery. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC press brake and laser cutting machines Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machine settings Produce accurate components to tight tolerances and quality standards Carry out first-off inspections and routine quality checks Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting Work efficiently to meet production deadlines Requirements Proven experience operating press brake and/or laser cutting machines Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings Experience with machine setup and tooling changes High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Reliable, practical, and proactive attitude Desirable Skills Experience with CNC programming or editing programs Broader sheet metal fabrication experience Forklift licence Hours of Work Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:30pm Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm Benefits Competitive salary dependent on experience Company pension Free on-site parking
