About the role
Administrator – Construction Project (Bridgwater)
A well-established commercial contractor, delivering new-build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects across the South of England, is seeking an experienced Administrator to support a key project in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable organisation with strong expertise in specialist industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage onboarding and vetting of site operatives through workforce management systems, including leavers, rehires, and transfers
* Support supply chain partners with training, onboarding processes, and compliance requirements
* Monitor applications and operative status, ensuring all compliance documentation is accurately recorded and securely stored
* Collate and maintain audit evidence in line with compliance frameworks
* Coordinate medicals, drug & alcohol testing, and maintain confidential records
* Arrange site inductions, refresher sessions, and client-required behavioural safety training
* Process requests for temporary workers, visitors, and urgent operational needs
* Organise site delivery bookings via client systems and communicate effectively with stakeholders
* Attend project meetings, assist with forecasting, and provide administrative support
* Take meeting minutes and maintain organised records of documentation
* Act as a professional point of contact for internal teams, external stakeholders, and site visitors
Requirements
* Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential information
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Willingness to learn and use bespoke systems
* Full UK driving licence or reliable transport
* Ability to pass relevant vetting and testing requirements
