Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Food Manufacturing £46,000 – £52,000 + Shift Premiums UK Wide Opportunities (Relocation Essential) We are recruiting Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing group operating multiple high-volume production sites across the UK. These roles form part of a centralised, multi-site engineering function, where engineers are placed based on operational demand, skillset and shift alignment. Relocation is a mandatory requirement for this role. Candidates must be prepared to relocate to the site where their experience will add the most value. The Role You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of automated production and packaging equipment within fast-paced FMCG environments. Typical responsibilities include: * Reactive maintenance and fault finding on high-speed production lines * Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing equipment * Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis * Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives * Working closely with production to maximise uptime and efficiency * Maintaining high standards of engineering, hygiene and food safety Equipment typically includes: * Conveyors, motors, drives and sensors * Checkweighers and metal detectors * PLC-controlled systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley) * High-speed packaging and processing machinery What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing * Ideally from food manufacturing * Electrical or multi-skilled bias * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability * Comfortable working in fast-paced, breakdown-critical environments * Willingness to relocate to meet business needs (essential) Shift Patterns Shift patterns vary by site and may include: * Days * Double days * Panama / continental shifts Specific shift details will be discussed based on site allocation.
