Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant

Instead, you’ll build real capability, working with ambitious businesses and gaining exposure to the kind of financial insight that actually matters.  What’s in it for you Up to £26,500 per annum, plus bonus (FTE £33,125) 4-day working week with every Friday off Exposure to growing £1m+ turnover businesses, not small transactional work Structured systems and workflows that remove chaos and guesswork Full training and development, including QuickBooks certification Modern, high-spec office environment with advanced cloud tools Clear progression into more senior finance responsibilities Your responsibilities as Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant Process financial transactions accurately using cloud accounting systems Complete bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations to maintain clean data Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with compliance requirements Maintain records through to Trial Balance, supporting reporting accuracy Assist with month-end processes and financial close activities Identify errors and improve data quality across client accounts What we’re looking for in a Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant Previous experience in a finance, accounts or bookkeeping environment Strong attention to detail across financial data and reconciliations Experience or exposure to cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) Understanding of VAT, debtor and creditor processes Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial records Working hours Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (office-based)  If you’re ready to step into a Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant role where you’ll genuinely develop, take ownership, and build a long-term career in modern finance, apply now.
