CNC Setter/Operator

CNC Setter/Operator Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (including shift uplift) Location: Based near Uxbridge (Commutable from: Slough, Watford, High Wycombe, Hayes, Aylesbury, Luton and more) Hours: Continental Shifts – Early: 06:00–16:00 / Late: 12:00–22:00 Pattern: Rotation between early and late shifts (no consecutive weeks) – 177 working days per year, approx. 25 weekends This is a brilliant opportunity to join a globally recognised, multi-award-winning engineering company near Uxbridge, producing low-batch, high-precision safety components for the Aerospace and Defence sectors. As a CNC Setter/Operator, you'll work in a fast-paced CNC department operating a variety of machines, contributing to the production of critical components in a high-spec environment. Benefits: Up to £48,000 per annum (including shift allowance) * Annual company bonus * 9% non-contributory pension scheme * Healthcare cash plan and life assurance * Continental shift pattern with balanced work-life schedule * Strong commitment to training and professional development CNC Stter/Operator Responsibilities: Setting and operating CNC mills and lathes (Bridgeport, Hurco, DMG, Protrack) * Editing G&M programs directly at the machine when required * Producing low-volume, high-precision components * Operating CMM machinery and interpreting CMM drawings * Performing basic machine and tool maintenance * Self-inspecting and deburring components to high standards * Supporting lean manufacturing practices and process improvements CNC Setter/Operator Requirements: Several years’ experience as a CNC Machinist (milling and/or turning) * Confident setting and operating multi-axis machines * Ability to self-inspect using standard measurement tools * Experience reading CMM reports * Mechanical apprenticeship (ideal but not essential) * Familiarity with 5S, Continuous Improvement, Kanban To apply, simply click the apply button
