Job Title: Water Treatment Service Chemist
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £30k - £45k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a highly respected and successful name within the Water Treatment industry. They hold a nationwide presence and have prestigious client contracts, spanning across commercial, industrial and manufacturing premises. You will be conducting the testing and analysis of process water systems (including: steam boilers, closed systems and cooling towers). Applicants must have strong technical knowledge and a professional manner when liaising with clients. Experience / Qualifications:
* Proven track record working as a Water Treatment Service Chemist
* Will ideally hold training / qualifications, including: Cooling Tower Chemistry, City and Guilds (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing and / or Advanced Water Treatment Chemistry
* Fully conversant in ACOP L8, HSG 274 and HTM 0301 guidelines
* Comfortable providing bespoke technical advice to clients
* Good literacy and numeracy skill level
* Comfortable using IT software
The Role:
* Using a test kit on site to conduct testing and analysis on steam boilers, cooling towers and closed systems
* Performing chemical dosing on systems
* Cleans and chlorinations on cooling towers
* Servicing of CLO2 units, reverse osmosis units and water softeners
* Producing detailed technical service reports
* Meeting with clients to provide advice on findings and recommendations
* Adhering to personal targets and project deadlines
* Fostering strong relationships with clients
* Travelling in line with client requirements
