Job Description

Location: CDE Global, 370 Doagh Road

The Stores and Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading the stores function and managing inter‑site logistics and transport operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and timely flow of materials. The role works closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver outstanding service to operations, supporting production and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Stores and Inventory Management

  • Lead and supervise a team of Stores Operatives, ensuring high performance, engagement, and adherence to standards
  • Manage goods receipt, storage, issuing, and dispatch activities
  • Ensure accurate inventory control, stock integrity, and cycle counting processes
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted operations
  • Ensure all materials are correctly identified, stored, and handled in line with company procedures

Logistics and Transport Coordination

  • Plan and manage inter‑site logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost‑effective movement of materials
  • Coordinate internal and external transport providers
  • Monitor delivery schedules and resolve any logistics issues proactively
  • Ensure full compliance with transport regulations and company policies

Operational Support and cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Planning, and Quality teams to align material availability with operational requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, efficiency, and cost control
  • Act as a key point of contact for logistics and stores‑related queries

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and development of Stores Operatives
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

Health, Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure safe working practices are always adhered to
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements within stores and logistics operations
  • Drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost‑saving initiatives
  • Utilize KPI data to monitor performance and implement corrective actions

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Inventory accuracy
  • On‑time delivery / inter‑site transfer performance
  • Stock availability
  • Cost control within logistics and transport
  • Team productivity and performance
  • Health & safety compliance

Other Responsibilities

  • Adhere to CDE policy and practice
  • Carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role

Required Criteria

  • Proven experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics supervisory role
  • Experience managing inter‑site logistics and transport coordination
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of inventory management systems and processes
  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Transport or logistics‑related qualification
