Job Title: Chemical Dosing Fitter / Engineer Location: Staffordshire Salary: £33,000 Sector: Water / Utilities The Company Our client is a leading UK water utility provider, supplying high-quality drinking water to over a million customers across the Midlands. They are committed to delivering safe, reliable water through advanced treatment processes, ongoing investment in infrastructure, and a strong focus on environmental responsibility. The Role This is a hands-on engineering role working within the water treatment and water quality division. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of chemical dosing systems across multiple sites, ensuring water treatment processes operate safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards. Chemical dosing plays a key role in water treatment, including removing contaminants, balancing pH levels, and ensuring water remains safe to supply. Key Responsibilities * Installation, maintenance, and repair of chemical dosing equipment * Servicing pumps, pipework, and associated systems * Fault finding and troubleshooting on dosing systems * Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations * Supporting water quality compliance and operational performance * Working across multiple sites as required * Completing reports and documentation for maintenance activities Requirements * Experience working with chemical dosing systems, pumps, or water treatment equipment * Background in mechanical or electrical engineering (or both) * Ability to fault find and carry out repairs independently * Full UK driving licence * Strong understanding of health & safety practices Desirable * Experience within the water or utilities sector * Knowledge of water treatment processes * Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary of £33,000 * Stable, long-term opportunity within the utilities sector * Opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects * Training and development within a specialist field Smart Search Technical is a specialist recruitment company operating in technical engineering sectors across the UK & beyond.
