This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with relevant structured products or capital markets experience to join a highly regarded in-house legal team and support a broad range of transactional work.
The primary focus of the position will be supporting the legal team with structured notes, principally across credit and rates.
The successful candidate will assist with the review, management and coordination of legal documentation relating to structured notes and associated transactions. The role will involve working closely with lawyers, front-office stakeholders and other internal teams within a fast-paced financial services environment.
There may also be opportunities to support other areas previously covered within the team, including prime services and research contracts. Direct experience in these areas is not essential, as training can be provided. However, the successful candidate should be flexible, proactive and willing to support across a broader range of matters when required.
Applicants should have relevant paralegal experience within structured notes, structured products, derivatives, capital markets or a closely related financial services environment.
Candidates should ideally have exposure to credit or rates products. Experience across equities, FX or other asset classes would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:
- Relevant paralegal experience in structured notes, structured products, derivatives or capital markets
- Exposure to credit or rates products
- Strong documentation review and organisational skills
- The ability to work effectively with lawyers, business teams and front-office stakeholders
- A practical and commercially focused approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- A flexible attitude and willingness to learn new areas
- Availability to begin an interim assignment at short notice
Experience relating to equities, FX, prime services or research contracts would be useful but is not required.
This position offers the opportunity to join the legal team of a major international financial institution and gain high-quality exposure to structured products work. xwzovoh
The assignment will initially run for six months and is expected to begin as soon as the successful candidate is available.
