CAD Technician

Job Role: Mechanical CAD Technician Salary / Rate: £30 - £40 per hour (Ltd Company) Location: North Wales (St. Asaph) / Hybrid Our client is seeking a mechanically biased CAD Technician to support ongoing design delivery across United Utilities (UU) and Welsh Water frameworks. Based out of their St. Asaph office in North Wales, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to a variety of essential water infrastructure schemes. About the Role: * Producing high-quality 2D mechanical CAD drawings for water and wastewater projects * Supporting design delivery across United Utilities (UU) and Welsh Water frameworks * Working closely with engineers to develop detailed design outputs through all project stages * Some involvement in 3D CAD modelling, where required (desirable but not essential) * Ensuring design outputs are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements * Office-based collaboration with hybrid flexibility from North Wales About You: * Mechanically biased CAD Technician with proven experience in the water industry * Strong background producing mechanical designs on water/wastewater projects * Proficient in 2D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD) * 3D CAD experience is advantageous but not essential * Experience working on UU and/or Welsh Water frameworks is highly desirable * Strong attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and within a design team * Good communication skills and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please reach out to Charlie Knight @ Advance TRS.
