The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights), you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care throughout the night, while supporting and leading the care team on shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading, mentoring, and supporting care staff on night shifts
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• Supporting residents with night-time routines and needs
• Administering medication (training provided if required)
• Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation
• Ensuring a safe, calm, and reassuring environment overnight
• Promoting dignity, comfort, and wellbeing at all times
About You
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior care role within a residential or care home
• A compassionate, calm, and proactive approach
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Medication training (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
