Science Teacher - Northampton Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Start Date: June 2026 or September 2026 Contract: Full-Time | Ideally Permanent (Contract or Long-Term Considered) Salary: MPS/UPS - Competitive, dependent on experience Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking to inspire the next generation through Biology, Chemistry, or Physics? We are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from June 2026 or September 2026. This full-time role offers a strong potential for a permanent position, although long-term or contract arrangements will also be considered. The school offers a supportive environment with a focus on high standards, collaboration, and professional growth. The Role Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 teaching Teach your specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) within a broad and balanced curriculum Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for Science through both practical and theoretical approaches Differentiate lessons to support learners of all abilities Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback Contribute to curriculum development and the wider work of the Science department Support enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, trips, and competitionsThe Ideal Candidate Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification Has strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 Demonstrates an engaging, adaptable, and creative teaching style Has effective classroom management and strong communication skills Is passionate about raising achievement and promoting a love of Science Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to department life Open to applications from both ECTs and experienced teachersWhy Apply?
