Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Secondary School – Fareham
Full Time | Permanent | Term Time Only
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:40pm

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Fareham. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support, and commitment to helping every student achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, no two days are the same. You’ll play a vital role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, working closely with teachers and the wider support team.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects
Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require additional support
Assisting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning needs
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
Helping to manage behaviour in a positive and proactive manner
Supporting the delivery of tailored learning strategies
This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, thinking on their feet, and making a meaningful impact every day.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally some experience working in a school or educational setting
We also welcome candidates with transferable skills (e.g. youth work, coaching, care work, mentoring)
A positive, proactive, and outgoing personality
A genuine passion for supporting young people
A willingness to learn and develop within the role
Strong communication and teamwork skills
