This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to play a key role in shaping the future of our operations. You will lead and deliver capital investment projects across the site, working hands-on from concept through to completion. With the autonomy to manage your own projects, you’ll see the direct impact of your work on efficiency, innovation and continuous improvement across the business. Engineering Team Leader's Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance across production and site equipment * Undertake repairs, refurbishment, installation, upgrades and modifications to machinery and facilities * Support continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives * Carry out project work, including electrical installations and modifications * Diagnose and resolve faults on PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and control panels * Perform mechanical fault finding, repairs and routine preventative maintenance * Work closely with the Engineering Manager to promote a positive and proactive team culture Engineering Team Leader's Requirements * Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering * Ideally qualified to City & Guilds / ONC / HNC in Engineering * Strong problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills * Proven electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair experience (18th Edition desirable) * Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within food or FMCG manufacturing * Strong working knowledge of PLC systems, control panels, HMIs and SCADA systems * Understanding of electrical safety, isolation procedures and H&S standards * Experience working on high-speed food production and packaging machinery Engineer Team Leader's Benefits & Hours of work * Salary up £50k (DOE), £2300 Car Allowance, Sun to Tues/Wed (Days), Supportive leadership team with an open-door approach, Contributory pension scheme (8% total, with 5% employee contribution), 28 days’ annual leave, increasing annually up to an additional 5 days, Life assurance cover of up to three times annual salary, Additional holiday entitlement, Employee Assistance Programme, Access to a retail discounts platform, Regular team lunches, festive gifts and team-building activities, Opportunities for professional development through recognised training courses, Clear progression opportunities with a strong internal promotion ethos and On-site parking available Unfortunately, due to time restrictions we cannot respond to every applicant, in the event that we haven’t contacted you within 48 hours please take it you have not been successful for this particular role, but your details will be kept on file and considered for all future vacancies.
