Mechanical Quality Inspector (CMM Training) * CMM Operating/ Programming Training * Flexible Hours: Permanent Days – Flexible Start/Finish Times + Overtime Available A well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying advanced components into the aerospace, defence and high-performance engineering sectors is looking to recruit a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join its expanding quality department. This opportunity would suit someone with hands-on mechanical inspection experience who is looking to further develop their career within a modern and highly advanced manufacturing environment. Training and development can be provided, including exposure to CMM inspection and programming for the right individual. The company continues to invest heavily in both technology and people, operating some of the latest machining and inspection equipment within the industry. Mechanical Quality Inspector – Responsibilities * Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection activities * Inspecting precision machined components to tight tolerances * Using handheld inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and height gauges * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Supporting production and quality teams to ensure customer standards are achieved * Assisting with quality documentation and inspection records * Supporting continuous improvement activities within the quality department Mechanical Quality Inspector – Experience Required * Previous experience within a mechanical inspection environment * Experience using manual measuring equipment * Ability to read engineering drawings * Understanding of precision engineering and tight tolerances * Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop * Any CMM experience beneficial but not essential What’s on Offer * Permanent day shift * Flexible working hours * Plenty of overtime available * Training and development opportunities * Opportunity to progress into CMM inspection/programming * Modern precision engineering environment * Salary dependent on experience
