Area Sales Manager

Run your own patch selling technical solutions that keep industrial plants running, with uncapped commission on top of a strong basic and a company car. The role You'll drive new business across the West of England and Wales for a global corrosion-protection and coatings specialist, selling into power, oil and gas, petrochemical, energy-from-waste and wider heavy industry. It's a consultative, sometimes complex sale to engineers, consultants and procurement, so you'll enjoy the technical detail. * Win new accounts and grow and protect existing ones across your territory * Visit sites to give technical and commercial support and turn enquiries into orders * Promote corrosion protection, protective coatings and re-engineering solutions * Plan your own diary and keep your pipeline and CRM sharp across a big patch What you'll need * A track record in technical, field or B2B sales - winning new business and growing accounts * Experience selling service-based or engineering solutions (repair and maintenance, industrial coatings or corrosion protection is ideal) * Credibility with engineers, consultants and procurement, plus strong commercial acumen * A full UK driving licence, and happy to travel with overnight stays when the patch needs it Desirable * Knowledge of coatings, corrosion, valves, pumps, tanks or asset-protection markets * A network across power, oil and gas, petrochemical or energy-from-waste What's on offer * £40,000 - £50,000 basic (depending on experience), plus uncapped OTE and commission * Fully expensed company car * Pension and a full benefits package * Home-based autonomy across a large, well-established territory Our client is a global provider of corrosion protection and re-engineering solutions, over 40 years established and investing in growth across demanding industrial sectors.
