Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home (3-Bed) Location: Birmingham, B18 Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent Working Pattern: Weekday daytime hours, with flexibility required to support evenings and weekends when the needs of the home require it Benefits Competitive salary of £35,000 – £40,000 per annum Supportive, family-focused organisation with a strong emphasis on staff development and progression Free on-site parking, casual dress code, company pension scheme, and discounted or free meals A positive, nurturing working environment within a home rated Good across all areas Opportunity to be part of a service committed to achieving Outstanding through continuous improvement Successful Applicant Experienced Senior Residential Support Worker ready to progress, or an existing Deputy Manager seeking a new opportunity Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children in a residential setting (preferred) At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred) Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare / Children & Young People’s Workforce (preferred) Full UK Driving Licence (preferred) Strong understanding or interest in trauma-informed care, PACE, or therapeutic parenting approaches A resilient, compassionate leader with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people Role & Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of all aspects of a three-bedroom children’s home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 Take responsibility for maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance across the home Lead by example, role-modelling excellent practice and supporting staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care Play a key role in developing and sustaining a trauma-informed, relationship-based culture throughout the service Support, coach, and develop the staff team to ensure continuous professional growth and strong team performance Contribute to the home’s ongoing journey towards achieving Outstanding outcomes for children and young people Work predominantly weekday daytime hours, with flexibility required to support evenings and weekends when the needs of the home require it Ensure the home remains a safe, warm, and nurturing environment focused on positive outcomes for children To apply for this exceptional opportunity please call Tabitha at Purosearch on (phone number removed) or send your CV direct to (url removed)
