Nursery Assistant

About the Role Onpoint Care Recruitment is expanding our Early Years team, and we’re looking for warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Assistants to support a variety of nurseries across East Sussex. We offer placements in: * General nursery support * Baby rooms, toddler rooms, and preschool rooms * SEN/SEND support (1:1 and small‑group) * Long‑term placements for consistency * Day‑to‑day cover for maximum flexibility Key Responsibilities * Supporting and supervising children through engaging, age‑appropriate activities * Maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑organised environment * Assisting with daily routines including meals, play, toileting, and rest periods * Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents * Providing emotional support, reassurance, and encouragement * Completing basic administrative or record‑keeping duties * Supporting outings, activities, and learning opportunities throughout the day * Adapting confidently to different nurseries, routines, and team styles Ideal Candidate We are looking for individuals who are confident, caring, and committed to supporting young children’s learning and development.
