Reference: DSI/AR/070699Job Type: PermanentSalary: 48000 - 60000Location: Rugby, WarwickshireSector: EngineeringPosted: 2026-10-21An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer / Technical Lead to join an established heating and cooling business serving domestic and commercial customers across the Midlands.As a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer / Technical Lead, you will lead technical development, train and support engineers, and carry out air conditioning installations, servicing and repairs across the Midlands.This role offers salary range of 48,000 - 60,000 plus overtime opportunities and benefits.You will be responsible for:Installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing split, multi-split, ducted and VRF/VRV air conditioning systems across domestic and commercial properties.Training heating engineers in air conditioning installation and maintenance, while mentoring and supporting colleagues.Advising surveyors on air conditioning surveys, system design and equipment selection, and supporting their technical development.Leading ducted and VRF projects and providing on-site technical guidance to other engineers.Carrying out scheduled maintenance to manufacturer standards, explaining faults and repairs to customers, and maintaining accurate job and F-Gas records.What we are looking for:F-Gas Category 1 qualification.Air conditioning experience, including ducted and VRF systems.Experience installing air conditioning systems in both domestic and commercial settings.Background in training, mentoring or supervising engineers.Familiarity with Daikin, Mitsubishi, Haier, Toshiba, Fujitsu or similar air conditioning systems.Strong electrical fault-finding skills and a sound understanding of controls.A full UK driving licence.The candidates from the following background will be considered:Senior Air Conditioning Engineer, Lead Air Conditioning Engineer, Senior Air Conditioning Engineer – Technical Lead, Senior Air Conditioning Installation Engineer, Senior Air Conditioning Service Engineer, Senior HVAC Engineer, Senior Air Conditioning Technical Lead, Senior Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer, Senior AC Engineer or in a similar role.What's on offer:Competitive salarySalary sacrifice pensionCompany van and fuel cardPhone and mobile allowanceUniform, tools and PPEGym discountsAn employee assistance programmeTeam days and company eventsElectric vehicle salary sacrifice schemePrivate healthcare covering pre-existing conditionsFunded F-Gas renewals, manufacturer training and further qualificationsOpportunities to develop skills in heat pumps, solar PV and electrical workApply now to take the next step in your career as a hands-on technical leader in air conditioning engineering.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
