General Manager - Manufacture

This role leads manufacturing operations within a highly regulated engineering environment. The General Manager - Manufacturing holds full accountability for site performance, safety, quality and delivery, driving operational excellence while developing capability, culture and continuous improvement across complex, low‑volume, high‑integrity production. Client Details The client is a specialist engineering organisation operating in a regulated defence-related sector. It designs, manufactures and supports complex, mission critical products for long term programmes, working to exacting safety, quality and compliance standards within a secure, customer focused environment. Description General Manager - Manufacture * Holds full P&L accountability for manufacturing operations * Leads all production, planning, supply chain and site-based functions * Drives safety, quality, delivery and cost performance across the operation * Implements manufacturing strategy aligned to wider business objectives * Oversees continuous improvement, lean initiatives and operational maturity * Builds strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders * Leads, develops and succession-plans the senior site leadership team * Ensures compliance with regulatory, contractual and governance requirement Profile General Manager - Manufacture * Senior manufacturing leader from a regulated or safety‑critical sector * Proven experience leading complex production operations end‑to‑end * Strong background in operational excellence and continuous improvement * Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and performance * Credible leader able to influence at executive and customer level * Track record of developing leadership capability and workforce culture * Comfortable operating in secure, compliance-driven environments * Degree qualified or equivalent experience in engineering or manufacturing Job Offer Salary circa £90,000 - £110,000 plus excellent package
