Composite Trimmer | Cambridge | Up to £19.00 per hour

As a Composite Trimmer, your responsibilities will include:
Applying decorative laminates and surface finishes to composite panels using aerospace-approved adhesives and bonding processes
Trimming, sanding, edge finishing, and polishing components to tight tolerances and cosmetic standards
Preparing surfaces through cleaning, abrading, and priming to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
Working from detailed engineering drawings, lay-up specifications, and process sheets
Carrying out bonding processes including vacuum bagging or press lamination (where required)
Inspecting finished components for defects such as air entrapment, delamination, or surface imperfections
Maintaining full traceability through accurate job card and documentation completion
As a Composite Trimmer, your experience will include:
Proven experience working with decorative laminates (e.g. high-pressure laminates, veneers, or similar finishes)
Previous experience in composite trimming, panel finishing, or a similar manufacturing role
Strong understanding of adhesive systems, curing processes, and surface preparation techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions
Experience using hand tools, air tools, and finishing equipment
