Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller to join their skilled machining team. Job Description This CNC Miller role offers the opportunity to work within a well-equipped machine shop producing precision components from billets, castings, fabrications, and forgings. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, programming, and operating large CNC milling and boring machines using FANUC control systems. The CNC Miller will work on complex one-off and small batch components, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the machining process. The CNC Miller will interpret engineering drawings, select appropriate tooling, set up jobs independently, and carry out accurate measurements using manual inspection equipment. A careful and quality-focused approach is essential as components are often high value and produced to tight tolerances. Skills & Experience A successful CNC Miller will ideally have the following: * Time-served machinist (machine shop apprenticeship or equivalent) * Experience operating CNC milling machines or horizontal borers * Ability to set and run one-off jobs independently * CNC programming experience * Strong measurement and inspection skills * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Experience working with large machining centres * Familiarity with FANUC control systems
