CNC Miller

A reputable and long‑established machining company in Redditch is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their team. This permanent role offers competitive pay and overtime opportunities. The successful candidate for the role of CNC Miller will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls, with additional responsibility for CAD/CAM programming. Experience with Hexagon CAD/CAM is ideal but not essential — however, CAD/CAM experience is required. Duties and responsibilities of CNC Miller * Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines (vertical and horizontal) with Fanuc * Create and edit offline programs using CAD/CAM software (Hexagon preferred but not essential) * Continuously monitor areas of improvement in cycle time, tooling cost, material usage * Collaborate with the production team to optimise machining processes * Maintain a clean and safe working environment * Adhere to company and industry safety standards and procedures * To produce components within the agreed standard time * Ability to read and interpret drawings * Ensure precision and quality of machined components * Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements * High precision tolerance works as well as volume * Quality control, working to customer specification Skills/attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Miller * Proven CNC milling experience with Fanuc controls – essential * CAD/CAM experience – essential * Experience with Hexagon CAD/CAM – advantageous but not essential * Previous experience with Doosan/Haas/Matsuura * Proficiency in programming, setting, and operating Horizontal CNC milling machines * Team player, with pride in one’s work and a desire for success * Be adaptable and willing to go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines Location: Redditch Hours of Work: Day shifts with early Friday finish Salary: £18 - £22 per hour, dependent upon experience Benefits: Workplace pension scheme, free onsite parking If you have the skills to fulfil the role of CNC Miller, please APPLY TODAY
