Brake Press Operator

Position: Brake Press Operator Location: Wakefield Hours: Rotating Shifts - 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm We are currently recruiting for Brake Press Operators in Wakefield to join a growing and busy production and fabrication team. As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating brake press machinery to produce precision-formed components to specification. You will work closely with the wider fabrication team to ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Major Responsibilities: · Setting up and operating brake press machinery · Bending, forming and shaping sheet metal to specification · Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job sheets · Adjusting machine settings, tooling, and programmes as required · Conducting quality checks to ensure accurate dimensions and finishes · Working to production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards · Supporting general fabrication processes when required Personal Skills: · Previous experience operating brake press machinery (essential) · Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions · Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality · Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment · Good mechanical understanding and practical skills · Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated approach to work · Ability to work rotating shifts How to Apply: For more information on the role, or an informal discussion regarding opportunities we have available, please contact Victoria Pseftoudis on or call +44 (0)(phone number removed) Why work with Proactive?
