An Outstanding 1118 mixed school with a thriving sixth form in Barking and Dagenham is seeking to appoint a talented Science Teacher (Chemistry specialism preferred) from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Science Teacher to join a high-performing and expanding department in a school recognised for excellence in all areas.
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3KS5, with a particular focus on Chemistry. The successful Science Teacher will inspire curiosity, develop strong scientific understanding, and support students in achieving excellent outcomes.
The school is looking for a Science Teacher who will:
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across the curriculum
Teach Chemistry to KS4 and ideally KS5
Support students of all abilities to make strong progress
Contribute to a collaborative and ambitious Science department
Track and assess pupil progress effectively
Engage with whole-school initiatives and professional development
This Science Teacher role is suitable for experienced practitioners, ECTs, or high-achieving graduates seeking a trainee Science Teacher opportunity. The school offers excellent support and clear progression routes, making it an ideal environment for a Science Teacher at any stage of their career.
