About the role

Our client, a leading vendor of OSS/BSS software to Telecoms Service Providers, is looking for a VP of Account Management to lead a small team (of around 5) to handle complex (multi-million USD renewals) and grow additional revenue streams from existing accounts. The VP of Account Management will be responsible for the relationships with key clients as well as overseeing the day-to-day activities of our Account Management (AM) team in the region. The client is looking for candidates who can generally be in their London office when they are not traveling. Duties/Responsibilities:  Develop a comprehensive regional account plan for a specific geographic area and active existing accounts with the view to upsell, cross-sell, or renew contracts  Collaborates with marketing and sales teams  Engage customers to educate on service offerings  Establishes existing account relationships and acts as a consultant to build relationship depth with current customers within the assigned business area  Analyzes the needs of the customer to create customized proposals that differentiate our service offerings in the market  Responsible for accurate completion of all required reports and activity tracking to achieve the company's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)  Actively communicates business opportunities with regional and global teams and continuously seeks to improve business development processes  Maintains an understanding of the Telecommunication and Pay-TV industries and translates the environmental factors into account management strategies  Accountable to federal, state, local programs and contracts, accrediting bodies, and requirements  People-management responsibilities, including recruiting, hiring, performance management, etc., of the regional AM team Required Skills/Abilities:  Strong understanding and experience in the EMEA Telecommunications sector (OSS/BSS software is preferred but candidates with experience of selling complex software to Telco Service Providers will be sufficient)  Proven track record in management positions (this role will be hands-on with customers and involve traveling)  Outstanding operational capability  Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people management  Strong Client facing and networking skills  Team Leadership and communication  Strategic thinking and planning  Accurate and timely reporting  High-level P&L accountability  Leadership focused on account growth  Working with the Marketing team on marketing programs into EMEA Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree  10+ years’ experience in the Telecommunication and Pay-TV industry Please ignore the salary levels mentioned on the job board - there is flexibility depending on the candidate's background. The package includes a base salary, a 20% variable, and generous benefits
