About the role

Job Title: SEN Learning Mentor Location: Devon Contract: Full-time / Part-time (dependent on needs) About the Role Here at Fox Morris Group, we are seeking an SEN Learning Mentor role to positively support and enrich the development of children and young people with Special Educational Needs. You will work closely with individual learners to help them grow academically, emotionally, and socially, ensuring their unique needs are understood and met. This role is centred on building a strong, trusting relationship with each child, allowing you to become a consistent, supportive presence in their educational journey. By creating a safe, encouraging, and nurturing environment, you will help children build confidence, develop essential life skills, and overcome barriers to learning. As an SEN Learning Mentor, you will take time to understand each child as an individual, tailoring your approach to help them engage with learning, regulate emotions, and achieve personal goals. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on the child’s wellbeing, independence, and long‑term development. Key Responsibilities * Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN * Support learners with emotional regulation, confidence, and engagement * Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals * Build positive, trusting relationships with students and families * Maintain accurate records and report progress effectively Essential Requirements * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle * Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service * Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred) * Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning What We Offer * Ongoing training and professional development * Supportive and experienced team environment * Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives How to Apply If you are passionate about supporting students with SEN and meet the essential requirements, we would love to hear from you.
