Van Driver / Warehouse Operative

Due to continued growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting for a Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our Client on a temporary to permanent basis in Shepshed. Van Driver/ Warehouse Operative Job Details & Benefits; * £12.96 per hour * Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm * Free Parking * Pension Scheme * Permanent role after 12 weeks Van Driver/ Warehouse Operative Role & Responsibilities include; * Ensure products are delivered and stored safely to sites throughout the UK including * Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes accurately in a fuel-efficient manner. * Follow routes and time schedule to optimise driving time. * Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle * Collect payments * Follow DOT regulations, safety standards and ensure quality service standards comply with procedures, rules and regulations * Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship). * Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store) * Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits * Inspect products for defects and damages and report any discrepancies * Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation * Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations * Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers * Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment Van Driver/ Warehouse Operative Person Specification; * Experience as a Multi Drop Delivery Driver, preferably with knowledge of the road systems in the West Midlands and East Midlands. * Experience in driving 3.5t long wheel base vehicle * Full valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points and held for a minimum of 24 months * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Experience as a warehouse worker and familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods * Good organisational and time management skills * Ability to operate forklift, hand truck and other warehouse equipment * Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system * Team player with organisational skills * Ability to lift or move heavy products If you are interested in the role as a Van Driver/ Warehouse Operative, then please apply now by sending your CV
