About the role

MONDAY-FRIDAY 2PM-10PM
Duties
Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts and manual handling techniques, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update stock records precisely
Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage or injury
Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipment contents against documentation
Conduct mechanical inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed
Support construction-related tasks when required, including moving heavy materials or assisting with site logistics
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all safety standards are met and equipment is stored properly
Experience
Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with loading procedures and inventory control
Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely in a busy environment
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements and order processing
Mechanical knowledge or construction experience that supports handling heavy loads and equipment maintenance
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
Experience in shipping & receiving operations, including documentation verification and load management
Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and safety procedures in a fast-paced setting
Must be good with a computer, to learn Blue Yonder system to help you locate pallets, pallet quantities and check LPNs
Communicate well, though loading is considered a job where you do on your own outside of the team you must still communicate well through your handovers to the other shifts. Work well with the despatch and other loaders as well as communicate with the Team Leaders, chats and transport office staff; to let us know what orders you have to load that may require completing.
Independence, as a loader you will primarily at times be working on your own. You will need to be able to work by yourself effectively.
Quality, as a loader you are the last person to check the pallet before it is despatched. You must be sure that the pallet is in good condition, the pallet wrap is correct and pallet type.
Someone who is a quick learner and efficient at the job. Someone who will understand the targets to be achieve during a shift and will meet the expectations set on them.
