Credit Controller

We're supporting a well-established and rapidly expanding premium consumer goods business to recruit a confident and proactive Credit Controller. You'll join a collaborative finance team where your work will have a direct impact on cash flow and key customer relationships! 📍 Location & Flexibility 1 day per week in Rushden HQ 4 days remote workingA great balance between autonomy and team collaboration. You'll manage a £10m-£15m sales ledger, working alongside another Credit Controller, and take ownership of key accounts including major UK supermarket retailers. DAY TO DAY Take ownership of a large, complex ledger and drive cash collection Build strong relationships with key customers, including major grocery retailers Proactively chase overdue invoices and reduce aged debt Handle deductions, disputes, and claims via retailer portals (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda) Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently Work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service Post and allocate incoming payments Produce aged debt reporting and support month-end processes Assist with credit risk management and credit limit setting YOU? Proven experience as a Credit Controller (ideally within FMCG or consumer goods) Strong SAP experience (essential) Experience managing large ledgers (£10m+) Familiarity with UK supermarket portals and processes Confident handling deductions and disputes Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Knowledge of EDI invoicing and retailer compliance Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) 51572CC INDFIR The Portfolio Group are acting on behalf of our client in recruiting for this position
