Job Description: We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 3/4 Teacher to join a well established school based in sheffield from September 2026 on a maternity cover basis. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging and effective lessons across Lower Key Stage Two, supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development. The successful Year 3/4 Teacher will have a strong understanding of the Key Stage Two curriculum and will be confident in teaching across both Year 3 and Year 4. This teacher role requires someone who can create a positive and inclusive learning environment while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage Two curriculum * Teach a mixed Year 3/4 class, adapting learning to meet a range of abilities * Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress and attainment * Establish a well-managed and engaging classroom environment * Differentiate learning to support all pupils, including those with additional needs * Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers * Uphold school policies, including behaviour and safeguarding procedures * Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Strong knowledge of the Key Stage Two curriculum * Previous experience teaching in a UK-based classroom setting * Effective classroom management skills * Excellent communication and organisational abilities * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children * Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check Desirable: * Experience teaching mixed-age classes (Year 3/4) * Familiarity with Lower Key Stage Two assessment frameworks * Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities What We Offer: * A supportive and welcoming school environment * Opportunities for professional development * Well-resourced classrooms * Competitive salary in line with experience
