The Role You’ll support learners across Criminology programmes, helping them develop subject knowledge and critical thinking skills linked to real-world contexts. Deliver engaging lessons across Criminology courses (A Level / WJEC / Access) Teach topics such as crime and deviance, criminal justice systems, and theories of crime Support learners with coursework, assignments, and exam preparation Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback Create a positive and inclusive learning environment What We’re Looking For We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds: Essential: Experience teaching Criminology or a related subject (e.g. Sociology, Law) Strong subject knowledge Ability to support academic learners Strong communication and organisational skills A flexible and reliable approach Desirable: Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET) Experience within Further Education or Sixth Form Industry experience within criminal justice or related fields Enhanced DBS on the Update Service From schools, FE, or industry?
