This CNC Machinist Role
We’re looking for a CNC Machinist to join our factory team in Gillingham, working on the production and preparation of fire doors using specialist machinery.
* Hours: Working onsite, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
* Contract: Self-employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position
This is a hands-on role where precision, consistency, and attention to detail are key.
What You’ll Be Doing as a CNC Machinist
* Operating and setting up CNC machinery within a production environment
* Assisting with the manufacture and preparation of fire doors
* Working to technical specifications and production standards
* Carrying out quality checks to ensure compliance
* Supporting the team to meet production targets and deadlines
* Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CNC machinery within a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment (essential)
* Previous experience working with machinery / production equipment
* Confidence using or learning computer-controlled machinery
* A quick learner with a proactive attitude
* Strong attention to detail
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
