Yard Person / Driver’s Mate Unity Personnel are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Yard Person / Driver’s Mate to join a friendly, family-run business based in Brighouse. The Role: This is a varied position combining yard duties and driver’s mate responsibilities: • Working in the yard 2 days per week (09:00 – 17:00) • Assisting as a driver’s mate 3 days per week, supporting deliveries nationwide (typically 8–10 hour shifts, with flexible start and finish times depending on routes) Key Responsibilities: • Ensuring all returned stock is checked and stored correctly • Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe at all times • Supporting the FLT driver with duties as required • Unloading vehicles efficiently and safely • Adhering to all health and safety procedures • Assisting drivers with deliveries to bars, restaurants, and shops across the country (Please note: this role involves heavy manual handling, including moving kegs and palletised goods) The Ideal Candidate: • Strong attention to detail • Honest, reliable, and punctual • Good work ethic and team player • Comfortable with physically demanding, manual work • Flexible approach to working hours Benefits: • £12.71 per hour • Overtime available • Long-term opportunities for the right candidate • Friendly and supportive working environment • Weekly pay • 29 days holiday • Birthday day off • Pension scheme • Clean working environment This is an immediate start position.
