About the role

Are you an experienced Vehicle Parts Manager seeking a new challenge within a reputable automotive group? Our client, a well-established commercial dealer group, is looking to appoint a highly skilled Vehicle Parts Manager to oversee their Cardiff and Newport branches. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a motivated team within a dynamic organisation that prioritises growth, development, and recognised excellence. Benefits: Salary up to £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience Performance-related bonus of approximately £1,000 per quarter Company car with business fuel allowance 22 days annual holiday plus 8 bank holidays, increasing with service Full manufacturer-accredited training provided Company pension scheme Excellent career development prospects within a three-time winner of the Commercial Motor Dealer of the Year 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm No rota'd Saturday, with flexibility required based on business demandsDuties of a Parts Manager: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the parts departments in Cardiff and Newport Oversee a team of 15-20 Parts Advisors, Supervisors, and Delivery Drivers Develop a high-performing team environment through mentoring, motivation, and guidance Organise van logistics and coordinate staffing levels efficiently Manage stock control to optimise availability while minimising costs Ensure accurate administrative processes and departmental reporting Maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers and external partners Proactively grow trade and retail sales through exceptional customer service Support workshop and external customer parts requirements Monitor departmental performance and implement continuous improvement initiativesRequirements of a Parts Manager: Proven experience as a Vehicle Parts Manager within the automotive industry Strong leadership and organisational skills Proficient in stock management software (experience with Keyloop/Kerridge preferred) Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach Valid UK driving license with minimal points Ideally, experience within a commercial vehicle franchised dealership or with trucks and trailers Ability to work flexibly, adhering to the needs of the businessIf you meet these requirements and are ready to take on a senior management role within a forward-thinking automotive company, we encourage you to apply for the Vehicle Parts Manager position today.
