Year 2 Class Teacher – Primary School (KS1) Location: Barnet, London Salary: £37,870 – £56,154 per annum (M1 – U3) Job Type: Full Time, Temporary | Term Time Only Start Date: September 2026 Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3. The Role As a Year 2 Class Teacher, you will: • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum • Support pupils academic, social, and emotional development • Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-Key Stage 1 expectations • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and leadership • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching accordingly • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment What Were Looking For • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1), ideally Year 2 • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills • A proactive, reflective approach to teaching and learning • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment Why Apply?
