- 17:00, Friday finish at 16:30 About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Draughtsperson to join a well-established and reputable company within the construction and steel fabrication sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with structural steel experience looking to develop their career within a growing and forward-thinking technical team.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and 3D models for a range of steel structures and portal frame buildings, while supporting the wider project and fabrication teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Key Responsibilities Produce accurate general arrangement and fabrication drawings for steel-framed buildings Model structural steelwork using CAD and 3D software (e.g.

AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Advance Steel) Prepare layout drawings, connection details, and fabrication packages Work closely with engineers, project managers, and the fabrication team Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and client specifications Communicate with architects, clients, and site teams where required Support continuous improvement of drawing processes Assist and mentor junior team members as you progress Requirements Experience in a structural steel or fabrication drawing role Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably AutoCAD and Advance Steel) Strong understanding of steel structures and fabrication processes Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team Motivated with a desire to progress into a senior role What's on Offer £35,000
