Overview
We are supporting a well-established engineering manufacturer in the appointment of an experienced engineer to lead the development and optimisation of its finishing processes.
This is a high-impact role with ownership of a critical improvement project, focused on driving efficiency, consistency, and scalability within production.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for identifying, developing, and implementing improvements to existing finishing processes.
Key responsibilities:
Lead process development initiatives within polishing and finishing
Evaluate and introduce new methods, materials, and technologies
Work closely with production teams to implement change on the shop floor
Engage with external suppliers and technical specialists
Establish structured processes, SOPs, and repeatable standards
Deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and output
Candidate Profile
Essential:
4+ years' experience in manufacturing or process engineering
Proven track record of delivering process improvements
Strong hands-on approach with the ability to work in production environments
Ability to influence and engage engineering teams
Commercial awareness and results-driven xwzovoh mindset
Desirable:
Experience with finishing, plastics, or similar manufacturing processes
Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies
Experience introducing new processes or technologies into production
Opportunity

Autonomy to drive change and implement new ideas
