We are looking for a hands-on Electronics / Hardware Engineer to design and develop microcontroller and application processor-based embedded systems.

This role sits at the hardwaresoftware boundary, involving board-level design, firmware development, and Linux bring-up.

What youll do: Design and developanalogue/digital circuitsandPCB layouts Performboard bring-up, debugging, and prototype validation Integrate hardware withfirmware and embedded Linux systems Collaborate across teams throughout thefull product lifecycle SupportEMC compliance, testing, and production readiness What were looking for: 5 yearselectronics/hardware engineering experience Experience withmicrocontrollers(ARM Cortex-M, STM32, PIC) andapplication processors(ARM Cortex-A or similar) Stronghardware debuggingand lab skills (oscilloscope, logic analyser, etc.) Knowledge ofSPI, IC, UART, CAN, and high-speed interfaces Experience withembedded firmware and Linux bring-up An engineer who focuses on outcomes and delivers at pace Strong judgement in balancing speed, quality, and maintainability Ability to prioritise high-impact work and avoid low-value tasks Practical, solution-oriented mindset Nice to have: x86 systems (Intel/AMD) experience Mains voltage / SMPS design experience Wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, LoRa) Manufacturing or production test experience Why this role: Work oncomplex, cutting-edge embedded systems Be involved inall stages from schematic to production Collaborate with ahands-on, multidisciplinary team The benefits of working for us include: 23 days holiday (rising to 25 days after 2 years service) bank holidays A working pattern where 10 days are compressed into 9 providing every alternate Friday off.
