Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday

Night Shift: 9:00pm - 7:30am

About the Role

The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting Nighttime Child Support Workers for opportunities in the Newtownards area.

This is a rewarding role supporting children and young people aged 7 to 18 years within a professional care setting. The successful candidates will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred support throughout the night, helping to promote the wellbeing and welfare of the children and young people in their care.

The positions offer negotiable weekly hours , with shifts available across Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

Duties may include:

• Providing appropriate care and support to children and young people during nighttime hours
• Supporting the safety, wellbeing and individual needs of children and young people
• Responding appropriately to situations that may arise throughout the night
• Applying a trauma-informed approach when providing support
• Building positive and professional relationships with children and young people
• Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and other professionals
• Following safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational procedures
• Supporting the wider care team to provide a safe and supportive environment

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
• Be NISCC registered
• Have previous professional experience working with children aged 7 to 18 years
• Have an understanding of trauma-informed practice
• Possess basic IT skills
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence with no restrictions
• Be available to work night shifts from 9:00pm to 7:30am
