A landmark signature hotel in Manchester is seeking an exceptional Front Office Manager to join its Senior Leadership Team. This is not your average front office role this is an opportunity to lead one of the hotels largest and most visible departments, overseeing a team of 25 across Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Relations, and Night Operations.
This hotel is recognised for delivering outstanding guest experiences with genuine warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. They are now looking for a strong hospitality leader who combines people-first leadership with operational structure, systems expertise, and a passion for service excellence.
The Role As Front Office Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the guest journey from arrival through to departure, ensuring every interaction reflects the hotels exceptional standards.
Working closely with the Hotel Manager and wider Senior Leadership Team, you will lead, inspire, and develop a diverse front office operation while driving service consistency, operational efficiency, and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a large front office operation of 25 team members
Oversee Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Relations, and Night Teams
Deliver exceptional guest service standards and memorable guest experiences
Drive team performance through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on leadership
Ensure smooth daily operations, staffing, and departmental organisation
Implement and maintain structured systems, SOPs, and operational processes
Handle escalated guest concerns professionally and effectively
Work collaboratively with all hotel departments as part of the SLT
Monitor KPIs, guest feedback, and departmental performance
Support recruitment, training, succession planning, and team development
About You The successful candidate will bring a unique blend of warm hospitality leadership and strong operational discipline.
You will be naturally engaging, approachable, and visible on the floor, while also being highly organised, process-driven, and commercially aware.
Requirements Previous experience as a Front Office Manager or senior front office leader within a quality hotel environment
Experience managing large, multi-functional front office teams
Strong understanding of front office systems, procedures, and operational structure
Passion for delivering genuine hospitality and personalised guest service
Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams
Calm and professional under pressure
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work strategically as part of a Senior Leadership Team
