We are recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to deliver sewage treatment, environmental, drainage, and highways schemes across the West Midlands. This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established contractor offering long-term work and strong career progression. πŸ“ Location: Within 1 hour commute of West Bromwich πŸ’Ό Type: Permanent πŸ’° Salary: Β£60,000 – Β£65,000 + comprehensive benefits πŸ“Œ Projects: Environmental improvements, sewage treatement works, drainage infrastructure, and highways works (details discussed at interview) Key Responsibilities Planning, programming, and resourcing of environmental, drainage, and highways works Managing budgets, cost control, and target programmes Overseeing site operations including earthworks, drainage installation, utilities, and roadworks Ensuring delivery to specification, quality, and regulatory standards Driving Health & Safety and Environmental best practice on site Managing site teams, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers Liaising with clients, local authorities, and project stakeholders Maintaining accurate site records and documentation Managing QA/QC processes including inspections and testing Leading commissioning and handover of works Candidate Requirements HNC / HND in Civil Engineering (or similar) – preferred Proven experience delivering environmental, sewage treatment, drainage, or highways projects CSCS Black Card (NVQ Level 6) SMSTS (5-day) First Aid (3-day) NRSWA Supervisor Desirable: Temporary Works Coordinator Confined Space Training (particularly relevant for drainage works) Lifting Appointed Person Environmental Management qualifications or experience Key Competencies Candidates must be able to: Produce and manage high-quality documentation including CPPs, RAMS, ITPs, SOSB, TBTs, and programmes Brief site teams effectively on technical and safety requirements Lead and participate in regular safety audits Work closely with SHEQ and Health & Safety teams Manage multiple workstreams typical of infrastructure and public realm projects Commute to site within 1 hour Benefits Package 35 days holiday (including bank holidays) 27 days annual leave (7 reserved for Christmas shutdown) 20 flexible days Employer pension contribution (4%) + employee contribution (4%) Annual discretionary bonus (paid in December) Annual salary review (April) Monthly pay (20th of each month) Company car or car allowance + fuel (where applicable) Life assurance (2x salary + additional cover) Enhanced sick pay based on length of service Modern office facilities with free tea/coffee Free on-site parking Cycle to Work scheme This role is ideal for a Site Agent with a strong civil engineering background who enjoys delivering infrastructure projects that have a direct impact on local environments and communities
